All students that are failing (64 or below) two or more core subjects (ELA, Math, Science, or Social Studies), are placed on academic probation until they make significant improvements in their classes. The duration of academic probation is individually determined as it lasts until significant progress is made in the class(es) concerned. While on academic probation, students are expected to participate in Extra Help each week, for each class they are currently failing. Students on academic probation are ineligible to participate in field trips and end of the year activities. Students on academic probation are expected to return a contract which they and their parent/guardian sign.
